New Laws

Some of Illinois most recently enacted laws:

– Fines for passing school buses will double (from $150-$500 to $500- $1,000)
– Health insurers will now be required to cover Epi-Pens, mammograms, and skin cancer screenings
– Minimum wage will increase from $8.25/hour to $9.25
– High school seniors in the top 10% of their class are guaranteed acceptance to NIU, SIU, WIU and EIU
– Retailers are no longer allowed to charge dormancy fees on rebate cards
– Streaming videos on a cell phone while driving is now illegal
